More Flowers

From the same pattern as the roses, there was also a pattern for poppies, which I had to try out.

(Rose update: I made a white one after the original post.)

(For the record: poppies can be pink, as they can also be blue and orange. Google Image search ‘poppy colours’ for pictures. :))

Naturally, these poppies could either bedeck a bush, or horses.

These two horses are called Poppy (left) and Rose, so I thought it would be cool to get a picture of them with their namesake flower.

I should probably make leaves at some point for them. The poppies need backing, as the centres are secured with French knots, so I might make some for the roses while I’m at that.

Anyways, see ya!

Contrast

Someone I am quite close to asked for a glasses case that was white and sparkly, as their current case wasn’t working colour-wise.

I came up with this, which wasn’t what I originally planned, but ended up going with as the contrast of textures was so cool.

Look how fluffy it is! It could be Elsa’s glasses case. 😀

Above is the original case, which, while being sturdy and reliable, is not that aesthetically pleasing.

The soft, fluffy, sparkly one, however, does the job just as well. While looking a lot better, may I add.

It almost looks like you could sleep on the sparkly yarn, and it sure does feel the same way. Maybe I should make something else out of it … maybe a fake fur cape?

See ya!

A Rose or Two

I found the pattern for these roses in the most recent Mollie Makes and I thought they would be perfectly traditional scale.

IMG_9452_1

I put two on green wire that came from unfolded paperclips, to look like stems.

Two have been left as just the flower, so they can be placed behind the ear of an empress…

…or get stolen to eat by a cheeky foal.

There was also a pattern for a poppy, so I’ll probably make some of them too. I also want to work out how to put these flowers into bushes and pot plants for Traditionals, maybe I could use them for jumps or plants in rooms.

Anyways, see ya!

Semi-Polished Steel

The project I was working on last post was this grey glove.

IMG_9447_1

It’s meant to resemble Cinder’s cyborg hand (from The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer – highly recommended), though I still haven’t worked out fingers.

IMG_9448_1

You may see a bit of a colour change, this is because I ran out of yarn.

I’m going to pass it off as a polished bit verses an unpolished, slightly rusted part. It still looks good, and works as a glove so I’m happy with it.

See ya!
