Project Roundup

These felt flowers came in a Mollie Makes freebie, and they’re meant to go on a wreath. However, I want to make a mandala to go into the plastic ring provided instead, so suggestions for what I could do with them are much appreciated!

The red one is a poppy, the pink one is a peony and the orange one is an anemone.

I’ve also been crocheting a floral wreath, and only have one more flower to make before I put it together. Which flower is your favourite? I love the little multi-coloured roses, I’ll have to make more at some point.

I’m almost finished this perthro rune badge from the Magnus Chase series of books, it just needs to be stitched onto felt with a pin on the back.

This is a lamppost for the Diagon Alley set, and I plan on making a second post before working out what the light on top will look like.

I’m also working on this counter for Flourish & Blotts Bookstore in Diagon Alley. It’s a little low at the moment, as you can see, so I’ll need to make it taller by putting a third shelf under the countertop.

Anyways, see ya!

I’ve finished the embroidery for the Slytherin badge, woohoo!

Here’s the colours done…

…backstitching in progress…

…and it’s finished!

The badges are currently drying in the sun, and after they’re dry, I’ll cut them all out and sew felt and a safety pin onto the backs of each.

I also finished covering the interior of the stable. I ended up choosing to do half the walls in cream and half in wood, which looks very classy.

The floors of the stables are covered in paper that looks sort of like bedding, and the parquet floor is for a little multipurpose room, to store tack and some seating and feed, if I can.

Anyways, see ya!

This could be an embroidery special, as this post is just embroidery updates.

The Creativity patch is done! The spare mint thread I had is a slightly different colour to the colour I finished the border with, but it’s much less visible in real life.

I’ve also started the Slytherin crest. This is before:

After finishing the writing:

And above is the nearly finished snake. The satin stitch on the main snake body is meant to look like scales, and the tail and head will be just plain satin stitch, as they will be a bit difficult to do scales on. I plan on cross-stitching the background behind the snake next, in silver.

Anyways, see ya!

My main project at the moment is four embroidered patches, three that are from Mollie Makes.

The Mollie Makes ones are inspired by badges you’d get at Girl Guides or something similar, but these ones have qualities like Patience…

,,,Kindness and Creativity, which I haven’t started yet.

The border is entirely satin stitch, and definitely takes a while to do.

The picture below is where I am at now, you can see I still need to do the border for Patience in the corner.

My other project at the moment is a little box for the sliced cheese from the burgers. It will be covered in white paper, then I’ll make up a logo for the cheese and either draw or paint it on.

Anyways, see ya!

Miniature Three Broomsticks shop for the coffee cups from forever ago: going well! I have a corner room that’s made of some old calendars.

Fireplace for Sarah’s living room: The hot glue stone effect is finished, it just needs painting. I’m not entirely sure what to do about the cardboard edges, however.

Latest colouring page: looking very pleasing to the eye!

Anyways, see ya!
