I’ve finished the embroidery for the Slytherin badge, woohoo!
Here’s the colours done…
…backstitching in progress…
…and it’s finished!
The badges are currently drying in the sun, and after they’re dry, I’ll cut them all out and sew felt and a safety pin onto the backs of each.
I also finished covering the interior of the stable. I ended up choosing to do half the walls in cream and half in wood, which looks very classy.
The floors of the stables are covered in paper that looks sort of like bedding, and the parquet floor is for a little multipurpose room, to store tack and some seating and feed, if I can.
Anyways, see ya!
In the Southern Hemisphere, August 1 is the Horses’ Birthday.
So share a treat (or two… or three) with your four-legged friends today.
I’d say I’m definitely well overdue for a horse photoshoot, so I took Cheyenne out this morning.
This one looks rather dramatic, with the dark background.
I like the way the light shines on the leaves in the background of the one above.
I’m still embroidering the badges, the Creativity one is getting its border at the moment. I’m also busy crocheting a cloak for Sarah, and am experimenting with surface crochet for it, which will hopefully look really good.
Anyways, see ya!
Happy 20th Anniversary of the publication of Philosopher’s Stone, and may these books continue bringing joy to readers for many years to come.
The first pastries for the Three Broomsticks have just come out of the oven, and boy, do they smell good!
The white icing’s a little messy and thin for my liking, but it was the first time I’d mixed paint and glue together, so I’m hoping the next time I use the mixture it’ll turn out better.
I also made the paper bag here, and the silver cake stand in the first picture.
River seems to like the smell at least…
…although I’m not sure Mr Bentley quite agrees with her! Maybe it’s his Spanish roots.
Anyways, see ya
