Introducing Lola

Lola trotted into my collection at Christmas, but I’ve only got around to properly introducing her now.

I didn’t actually know she had the brand on her rump, so that was a bit of a surprise unboxing her.

I know the grass is too long, but let’s just imagine it’s an extremely overgrown field.

I think my pictures are getting better, I like the way all of these are composed. She looks thoroughly insulted by the plant in the last picture, like she can’t even touch it, it’s been so rude getting in her way. I might have a little bit of a diva on my hands.

Anyways, see ya!

Christmas Gifts

To begin, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and received some lovely things and spent time with family and friends. I was lucky enough to receive some incredible gifts that I am super thankful for, and one of them included Banks Vanilla:

As you’ve probably seen in the pictures in my Christmas post, Sarah also received a gift, which included this shirt that I painted:

a sewing machine:

and her first model horse, who she has named Blue:

I was also lucky enough to receive two books, too.

Eeeeee! I finished Heartless not long ago and I have to say, it was very interesting. I really enjoyed it, and I didn’t expect the ending at all. I’m not very familiar with Carroll’s world, but I loved this version.

The colouring book is spectacular. All the images are simply beautiful, so beautiful they may not get coloured in. One thing I love to do is look through it, reading Marissa Meyer’s writings on each of the sections and just looking at the pictures and the quotes beside them because they are simply wonderful.

That sounded a little soppy, sorry! But it is highly recommended for all Lunartics, definitely.

Massive thank you to everyone I received gifts from this year, I loved every single one, no matter if it made it in here or not. 😀

Anyways, see ya!

Great-Aunt’s Travels

My great-aunt recently went around Iceland and the Shetland Islands, which is a very horsey area of the world so naturally, there was a lot of horsey stuff in the gift shops. She was kind enough to bring some of these things home for me, so a massive thank you to her!

The card alone was stunning, hand-embossed in bronze.

Then there was these two stuffed guys – the larger one looks much more chestnut in real life.

Some books and a DVD:

These two, who look like they’re channeling their inner punk:

A variety of keyrings and magnets:

As well as socks and a T-shirt.

The socks are so thick and warm that I had to try them on.

I also received these two china Shetlands who are adorable!

Forest for scale – they’re so tiny! The boxes they came in had a cool flower design on the lid as well.

Massive thanks to my great-aunt, for hunting down so many cool horsey things, I love them all! I’m thinking about photo-showing the china ponies, maybe…

Anyways, see ya!

The Darkest Time Lord

….at least in colour. And in my collection.

I was lucky enough to receive Vincent for my birthday, along with Rhapsody in Black, who I have renamed GH Songs of Time or River.

River offside_1

It was hard getting a location where she’d actually be seen, because all the backgrounds are so dark.

I thought these palm fronds looked quite cool, almost like a curtain of something.

In the first two pictures, she does have a stand, as her near-hind leg doesn’t reach all the way to the ground. A bit annoying, but I still love her. Her rug and halter will be Doctor Who/galaxy themed, and when they’re both finished I might show them to you.

Anyways, see ya!

Since I haven’t officially introduced you all to Vincent (who was the little foal from last post), that’s exactly what I’m going to do now.

As you can see, he’s already got a little red halter. They never really feel like they’re mine until they have something to wear, does anyone else get that?

I love that his ears almost look too long for his head, so I can imagine him shaking himself and his ears flapping everywhere.

I also found some more of the yarn festival pictures to share, specifically with Vince and Pie (the one in the purple halter) in too. Again, none of the works in these pictures are mine, and if you want credit, just let me know.

I’m thinking that his show name could be a combination of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings, maybe Sunflowers at Night? If you have any ideas please let me know, I love getting your input!

See ya!
