Project Roundup

I’ve finished the embroidery for the Slytherin badge, woohoo!

Here’s the colours done…

…and it’s finished!

The badges are currently drying in the sun, and after they’re dry, I’ll cut them all out and sew felt and a safety pin onto the backs of each.

I also finished covering the interior of the stable. I ended up choosing to do half the walls in cream and half in wood, which looks very classy.

The floors of the stables are covered in paper that looks sort of like bedding, and the parquet floor is for a little multipurpose room, to store tack and some seating and feed, if I can.

Anyways, see ya!

Stable Renovation

I feel like this stable has been through countless renovations, but hey, there’s always time for one more!

I plan to rip out and recover all the interior walls:

and exterior, including the windows:

The exterior is currently being covered with white weatherboards, which goes along with the light, airy feel I want the new renovation to give the stable. I’m not sure what to do for the interior yet, but it will be in a similar vein to the outside.

Anyways, see ya!

Puppies

If you’ve ever had a dog, do you remember what it was like their first day home as a puppy? Well, I had four mini puppies to welcome home on Friday, and let me tell you, it is extremely hard to make collars for four very wiggly little dogs.

These two Boxers are named (from left to right) Trixie and Scarlett…

…and the two Australian Shepherds are (again, from left to right) Pirate and Aussie.

img_9965_1

Trixie and Scarlett join my previously solitary Boxer, Ernie, but Aussie and Pirate are my first Australian Shepherds.

Once their collars were made, I let them explore my room.

Somehow, Aussie made it outside, but she seems pretty responsible, so I didn’t mind.

Christmas Decorations

I meant for this to be my first post for December, but oh well.

I have Christmas decorations up, so I am in a suitably Christmassy mood, as are my horses.

The stables got a wreath over the doorway, as well as trees either side and tinsel on the stable doors inside.

img_9742_1

The arena has a wreath above it too, and there is a tree beside its entrance as well, which you can’t see in this picture.

The shelves got the ribbons from last year…

…a garland decks my doorway…

…and I have a small Christmas tree on this cabinet. I might end up placing some presents underneath it as Christmas gets closer, but we’ll see. There’s an old light-up necklace (that doesn’t work) on the tree, as well as a string of ‘lights’ I made a while ago. Alongside all the baubles, of course.

Anyways, see ya!

Sawdust – Kinda.

There is sawdust in an arena, even one of this size.

However, it’s not in the form you’d usually find it.

There’s a simple chain across the entrance, and the sides cover photography of everyone, from our largest members…..

…to our smallest.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, so I reckon it looks fabulous. I had the idea of putting the roof over it to prevent the ‘sawdust’ getting dusty, so now it kinda looks like one of those dome arenas, which is so cool!

Anyways, see ya!
